In November
2014, Swan Morrison published the third and final
book of his Short Humour trilogy. Details of the first book in the
trilogy, A Man of Few Words, can be
found on the Home Page of this site. Details of the second
and third books, A Man of a Few More Words
and A Man of Yet a Few More Words, can
be found on the page titled A Man of a Few More Words. All the pieces in all of
those three books can also be read on this site.
The title of the
final book in the trilogy, A Man of Yet a Few
More Words, can be
taken as having more than one meaning. At one
level it can simply represent another collection
of Short Humour pieces. However, the title also
reflects the increasing number of pieces that are
beyond five hundred words.
Most of the stories Swan
now writes are in excess of that figure, some
greatly so. He has also completed a novel called Judgement
Day and
a novella called Deep Black further details of
which can be found on the Home
Page of this site.
He also written parts of two other novels.
Five hundred word Short
Humour stories by Swan Morrison will, therefore,
become increasingly rare and hence any future
anthology could not be legitimately described as Short
Humour it is doubtful if A Man of Yet a Few More
Words can be.
This section of the site is
a repository for whatever short pieces Swan now
writes.
For those of you who have
reached this rather obscure corner of the
Short Humour Site, Swan hopes that you enjoy
the pieces below.
Some pieces by Swan
Morrison cannot currently be publicly reprinted/republished
due to agreements with other magazines in which
they appear.
A password protected
section of the site acts as a repository for
those pieces so that the Short Humour Site
can remain as a comprehensive library/reference
of all humour written by Swan Morrison.
Should you have the
username, which is swanmorrison, and the password, which is also swanmorrison, the link to that section of the
site is here.
