Classless Summer
Society
by David Francis
They look at me
like startled swans
And you know they only look once
Thats the way it is in New York
In the crowded cafes along the park
Summer is here, the rich are not
While we are stuck with what weve
got
The fortunate have gone away
While we, stubbornly sweating, stay
On this sweltering Saturday. |
