...........Voyage of discovery
A vision of beauty from distance seen
...........Poignant pose on grass a
summers green
Why alone, it should not be
...........Share your loneliness I beg,
with me
Perhaps you have a sadness such as I
endure
...........A bereavement in love, left
unsure
Where all seems lost, an unknown void
...........Nothing there to be enjoyed
On the tree of life they say its
carved
...........A sadness shared a sadness
halved
Now so close I see a held back tear
...........I smile an unsure smile so
near
To my relief a smile returned
...........A moment in my memory burned
I had little breath enough to speak
...........As I watched her dry a
dampened cheek
Emotion laden words I still recall
...........Few in number but covered
all
A cameo that will forever last
...........A golden moment in our past
In life an encounter such was right
...........Two Happy Hearts set sail
that night |
