Withering
Heights
by Alex Andy Phuong
Wuthering Heights has
stood the test of time as one of the greatest
love stories ever written.
Sometimes readers confuse the titular word "Wuthering"
with the vocabulary term "Withering."
(Readers must remember that names can be
deceiving.)
It is also interesting whenever names that people
have are also real English words (like "Quick").
During the famous balcony scene in Romeo
and Juliet, the leading lady wonders why
names are a big deal
Sometimes, names are not a big deal.
And sometimes love falls apart because of
physical attraction rather than mutual love and
respect.
Unfortunately, sometimes houses do wither away
literally and metaphorically when people living
in houses fall in love (and then forget to clean
up their passions).
Never fall in love (but the heart does what it
does while the brain thinks about what somebody
would do next)!
