Oh So Cute

Taxes are up and
with food and gasoline prices rising,
do we really need more than fifty kinds
of shampoo?
Even water is costing more, nothing is
free anymore,
a tightening of the purse strings must
surely ensue.
Whatever happened to good, old-fashioned
Ivory soap?
Do we really need hair to bear the scent
of passion fruit?
In the olden days, a simple scrub and
rinse would suffice,
but today there’s too many choices
of dubious repute.
Unisex grooming products line the
supermarket aisles,
do we really need gender equality to take
this route?
I may be a bit old school, but in the
shower I lather up
and each dawn I smell like coconuts and
look damn cute. |
